OneLogin Encryption Setup with Google

To complete OneLogin encryption in Simpplr you'll need to complete the following steps:

  1. Update user aliases in Google
  2. Map user attributes to OneLogin fields

Updating User Aliases in Google

To update the aliases for existing users in Google when pushing users from OneLogin to GSuite:

  1. Log in to the OneLogin portal as an administrator. Click Administrator.
  2. Go to Application > GSuite. Click the GSuite app.
  3. Look for Parameters and click.

  4. Scroll down and click Alias. Select OneLoginID in the value and check the box that says Include in User Provisioning. Click Save.

  5. Click Save again in the top right.

  6. Now we need to push the alias to user profiles in Google. As the admin, from Google, go to Users and click Apply to All > Reapply Mappings.

Map User Attributes to OneLogin Fields

In this section we'll be in OneLogin. To begin:

  1. Go to Application > Applications and choose Simpplr.
  2. In the Parameters tab, click the plus (+) icon on the right hand side.
  3. Click Email  and then edit (as shown below).

  4. Click Save.
  5. Click the plus (+) icon on the right hand side. Type the user's name as FirstName (variable name is case sensitive). Then select the value as OneLogin ID and check the box that says Include in User Provisioning.OL_encryption_7.jpg
  6. Click the plus (+) icon on the right hand side. Type the user's name as LastName. Then select the value as OneLogin ID and check the box that says Include in User Provisioning.

  7. Scroll down to the User ID that is default mapped to Email.

  8. Click on User ID and select Macro in the dropdown. In the text field type {onelogin_id}@domainname.

  9. Now we need to map the Simpplr custom attributes to pass the variables to Simpplr. Click the on plus (+) icon on the right hand side and type the user's name as Simpplr__FirstName__c and check the box next to include in User Provisioning.

  10. Click Save.
  11. Then you'll have the option to map the attribute with the OneLogin field. Select FirstName from the dropdown.

  12. Map all the Simpplr attributes the same way as done above.

Adding New Users

For completing the process for new users in your company:

  • Assign the Google app first in OneLogin.
  • Once the user is provisioned, assign the Simpplr app to the user.
