Embed a playlist on your dashboard

We all love to share music with one another, and what better way to feel connected to your team members than having a company playlist? In this article, we will show you how to add a playlist to your dashboard and talk about ways customers (and Simpplr) are using playlists to foster connection and creativity in the workplace.

Adding a Spotify playlist to your home or site dashboard

Head over to Spotify and start building a collaborative playlist that your team can listen to during their workday. Once you have your playlist ready, you can find the embed code by following these steps:

  1. Click on the elipses
  2. Select "Share"
  3. Select "Embed playlist"
  4. Choose the size - we recommend "Normal" and the color of your playlist
  5. Select "Copy" - this will copy the embed code
  6. Open your intranet and head over to the dashboard you want to add your playlist. Click on "Edit dashboard" icon
  7. Select "HTML" tile
  8. Paste the code in the text box and enter 360 into tile height
  9. Press save
  10. Voila! You have your very own Spotify playlist on your dashboard!

How customers are using this feature

  1. Weekly themed playlist: One of our customers has a themed playlist and team members are encouraged to add songs to the all company playlist based on that theme. Every week there is a new theme and opportunities to share music. For example, some of the themes include, "Favorite songs of 2025" "Songs that make you happy."
  2. Wellness playlist: Create a meditation or calming music playlist that your team members can listen to if they are feeling stressed or needing a break from the day.
  3. All company sync hall playlist: At Simpplr, each week, a member on our team submits a song for our PPL Sync. Our communications team adds the song to our playlist and that is the song that plays during our all hands meeting (called PPL Sync). We have the playlist on our home dashboard (see photo below) Screenshot 2025-04-04 at 1.51.02 PM.png
