Apps launcher updates

Users can now add their own links to the apps launcher. In the My links tab, end users can add any links they'd like that will only reflect for them. This will be allowed if the app manager enables it in Manage > Application.

Users can also mark any existing links as favorites, in which case they'll move to the My links tab. Users can add up to 30 links.

Finally, with the My links tab, in Edit mode, they can remove any saved links or personally added links, as well as change the order in which they appear.

Note that this feature was rolled out to a small set of customers in the 25.03 release. It is now available to all customers.

  • Hello,

    Will "My Links" replace "Favorites"?

If so, will existing links in "Favorites" automatically be moved to "My Links"?

    Thanks,
    Michelle

  • Also, how do I grant support access now that we've moved over to AWS?

  • Hi Michelle. No, My links doesn't replace Favorites. Favorites just hasn't been introduced to the AWS side yet. I know the Product team has it as an item to compete, but I don't know about a specific release date yet.

I think you're seeing the wrong info here. If your org/environment is now on AWS, then these release notes and this help center aren't applicable to you anymore. You want this link for the AWS help center. Be sure to bookmark that link for future reference. The documentation on AWS varies a bit from what you see on this Salesforce-based portal.

To grant support access on the AWS environment, follow these instructions. The capability is is Manage > Users.

  • Thanks, Matthew. I was sent the wrong link and will bookmark the new AWS help center.

What does this comment mean? "Favorites just hasn't been introduced to the AWS side yet."

Does this mean users who had Favorites in Salesforce lost them in the move over to AWS?

  • You can ignore that. We have Favorites in AWS. I was wrong.
